What is an eBook?
An eBook is simply an electronic document which you can read. eBooks are PDF files, which can be read by Acrobat Reader. You probably have read PDF files as you have roamed the web. PDF files allow you to combine graphics, video and text in a manner that is easy to read.
How do I read an eBook?
You will need to download the Adobe Reader version 9 from here and follow the instructions to install. If you have Adobe Reader version X installed, you will need to uninstall it and reinstall version 9 from the link above.
How is an eBook different from a PDF file?
An eBook is a PDF file that is copyright protected with DRM (Digital Rights Manager). You can only view your purchased eBooks on the PC they were activated on, our eBooks also don't allow selecting text, copying, pasting or printing.
How do I buy an eBook?
To buy one of our eBooks all you need to do is click on the "Add to Cart" button next to each eBook. You can add as many eBooks as you want to your cart before checking out. PEC handles its sales through PayPal which is a free service and you don't need to sign up for PayPal to be able to pay for our eBooks.
How do I pay for my eBook?
All eBook sales are priced in UK Pounds and all sales are sent through PayPal. That means anything PayPal accepts - any currency, any credit card, any bank account, any online payment, we can take. You don't need to sign up for PayPal to be able to buy our eBooks.
How will I get my eBook?
When you have successfully completed your purchase, you will receive an email with a download link and a unique activation key, which will provide you with the information to download and activate each eBook purchased. You will be able to activate each purchase on one PC only, and you will not be able to print, edit or email them.
How long will it take to download an eBook?
Download times depend on both the size of the file and the speed of your computer modem. Our eBooks are of various sizes and the download time will vary for each of them.
Do I need to be online to read my eBooks?
No, you do not need to be online to read eBooks. However, you will need to be online to activate it for the first time. After the eBook is downloaded and activated you can disconnect from the network and read it offline.
How do I activate my eBook?
On your eBook select “Activate eBook…” from the “eBook” menu. when the activation window is displayed, copy (Ctrl-C) your activation key from the email you received and paste it (Ctrl-V) into the activation window. Then, click on the “Activate” button to get access to the eBook's full content.
What is your refund policy?
Since you cannot physically return an e-book, we do NOT give refunds. If you believe an error has been made in the purchase, please do NOT activate the eBook. Contact us immediately on the support address provided in your confirmation email and inform us of the error.
Once you have activated your eBook with the key provided, it cannot be refunded or exchanged for another eBook.
If you can not attend one of our workshops after booking, you need to let us know at least 72 hours before the date of the workshop and we'll arrange for you to attend on a different date. We do not provide refunds once a booking is made.
What if I delete my eBook?
You can always re-download your purchased eBook using the download link provided in your confirmation email. Once your eBook has been activated once, your PC will always remember that and there's no need to re-activate it again after you re-download it.
